Welcome to Sands Bay of PlentySands Bay of Plenty is a parent-run voluntary non-profit organisation and registered charity which has been set up to support parents and families who have experienced the death of a baby.
Sands Bay of Plenty offers support in Tauranga for families of babies who have died at the time of their loss and for the years to come. We promote baby loss awareness and provide support for those dealing with the death of a baby - during any stage of pregnancy or newborn and infant death. Please contact us now for information or if you need someone to talk to. Online Support MeetingsSands New Zealand holds online support group meetings via zoom on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
If you are interested in joining this, please email secretary@sands.org.nz that you are interested in attending and they will send you a zoom invite before the meeting. Baby Loss Awareness WeekBaby Loss Awareness Week takes place from 9th to 15th October every year, ending with International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day on October 15th. It provides an opportunity for parents, families and whanau around New Zealand to come together and remember the lives of their babies who have died. We acknowledge the lives and deaths of all babies, no matter what their gestation, length of life or how they died.
Every year Sands BOP holds a service or event to mark Baby Loss Awareness Week. Please view our facebook page for information and event notices. |
